An onager is a type of catapult with an ancient origin. It was also widespread in the Middle Ages. The Romans had previously called this machine tormentum or scorpio. The catapult standing on two skids threw stone projectiles, burning charges, and other objects intended to terrify the enemy (snakes, impurities, severed heads, etc.) with the help of a long arm with a spoon. In the brick model, we used a rubber band to stretch the arm instead of tangled ropes! With this solution, you can quickly and safely start your own siege and throw brick missiles!
The set includes a Roman legionary equipped with a helmet (galea), armor (lorica segmentata), shield (scutum), and javelin (pilum). A special tunic extension block contains prints of dangling straps (baltea). You can place the catapult on the included brick base imitating a fragment of terrain.
