The absence of humanity has created a void that could be filled by another intelligent species. Over countless generations, the humble honeybee managed to do just that. The rapidly increasing population of these insects developed extraordinarily, ultimately mastering various technologies, including space travel. Apiary is a strategic game that perfectly combines intuitive rules with an extraordinarily sweet gameplay. It utilizes the mechanics of worker placement and resource management, encouraging players to expand their own hive in cosmic conditions. Explore planets, gather resources, develop technologies, and create adornments that showcase the strengths of your faction. However, remember that time is chasing you – the workers gain experience with each action taken, but after completing their flights, they enter a state of hibernation! What is it about? - During the games in Apiary, we place workers on various fields that allow for exploring planets, gathering and exchanging resources, and gaining new tiles for hive expansion. - Each player embodies a representative of one of twenty unique factions, each of which offers a different special ability. - On your turn, you choose one of two options: you place a worker on a chosen field and execute the related effect or retrieve all your bees and collect income. - Throughout the game, our workers will grow in strength, providing more and more benefits during placement. Once they reach level 4, they will grant us access to special bonuses, but shortly after, they will move to the hibernation area, where they will fall into deserved sleep. - The goal of the game is to acquire as many victory points as possible from adornment tiles, seeded cards, and the hive board.
