Grab the paddle and join the float trip to discover the species of plants and animals living in rivers, streams, and lakes from a kayak's perspective. Carefully observe the surroundings, and you might catch a glimpse of fish swimming in the depths, or further along, a splashing otter or a beaver building its lodge.
Meadow: Downstream is an expansion where we will continue our journey as nature observers. It allows you to add an additional river board, which will provide players with more interaction and introduce an element of competition. This time, not only will the recordings of observations matter, but the most skilled kayaker will gain an additional advantage and get closer to claiming the title of the most distinguished nature observer!
What is Meadow?
It is a board game where we take on the role of wanderers observing nature. Equipped with a map, we stroll through picturesque surroundings, seeking inspiration and capturing breathtaking views. We are guided by passion and curiosity about the world, but also by a competition for the title of the most skilled nature observer! This title will go to the one who earns the most points from observed species of animals and plants, landscapes, and souvenirs collected from the wander. Competitions also take place around the campfire, where players compete to fulfill their expedition goals.
What does the expansion introduce?

- An additional river board, along with the mechanics of kayaking. With this, players will be able to race and acquire new cards of the water environment. Moreover, the river board is double-sided, so during each game we can choose whether we prefer a calmer trip or a faster and more demanding adventure.
- A set of cards with completely new species of plants and animals. Just like in the base game, the artwork is by Karolina Kijak, a watercolor artist, so players can expect plenty of beautiful illustrations!
- An envelope with a mini-addition Z, which is just waiting to be discovered!
- An index of cards that will introduce players to the animals and plants appearing in the expansion. Inside you will find interesting facts and useful information, ensuring that the game is not only entertainment but also an educational tool!
