Head gasket leak tester for measuring CO2 content in the cooling system. The tester was created to eliminate any suspicion of damage to the head gasket and the head itself in gasoline, diesel, and LPG vehicles that are liquid cooled. If the gasket is leaking and CO2 enters the cooling system, the reaction liquid changes color to yellow or green. The principle of operation of the device is based on measuring the concentration of CO2 - in case of increased concentration, the reaction liquid reacts with CO2 and changes color. The set includes: CO2 reaction liquid 60 ml (sufficient for 30 tests) Universal conical adapter 25mm-55mm Measuring tube Black measuring adapter (25mm-55mm) allows checking 6 times more different diameters of coolant filling than testers with one white adapter. Allows checking for passenger cars, trucks, semi-trailers, excavators, motorcycles, forklifts. The adapter is made from a special blend of rubber that is resistant to high temperatures and suitably soft - ensuring it fits snugly to both the filling neck and the tester tube, guaranteeing 100% tightness during the test. Testing instructions: Fill the device with reaction liquid to the level between the chambers (approx. 2ml). Connect the tester to the opening of the expansion tank or radiator. Start the engine, increase the RPM to achieve higher combustion pressure. Leave the engine at slightly increased RPM and observe the behavior of the reaction liquid. A color change of the reaction liquid to yellow or green within a few minutes indicates a damaged head gasket or damage to the head itself. After completing the tests, carefully disassemble the device. Test results: Color change from blue to green in a diesel engine - indicates damage to the head gasket or the head itself. Color change from blue to yellow in a gasoline/LPG engine - indicates damage to the head gasket or the head itself. Reaction liquid blue color - NO CO2 detected in the system. Safety information: When performing the test on the radiator expansion tank, be sure to exercise extra caution when unscrewing the cap on a hot engine and during the test itself - risk of burning!
