It has been a long time since dark forces swarmed over the land and destroyed everything that was once dear to the people. The few survivors have found refuge in the last stronghold of mankind, deep underground. Cracks in the fabric of time, from which dark forces have been gushing forth for eons, they have been able to subjugate. They use powerful crystals to deform dark energy and forge unreal relics and powerful spells. These people are the last defenders against the archenemies at this abyss of time: they are the Rift Mages. In each round of Aeon's End, the players and the archenemy make their moves in random order. On their turn, players have a variety of action options at their disposal to fight the nemesis and improve their decks. These are never mixed, but simply turned over when the pull pile is used up. In the turn of the archenemy, the Stronghold of Rest is attacked. Through cards, the archenemy can attack, get new abilities and gain minions. Players only win if they defeat the nemesis before they can destroy the strongholds.
