PRL SYRENA 104 - Beige
The decision to start design work on a new Polish small car was made in May 1953 by the then Presidium of the Government: "... A popular, time-saving means of transport for business and leisure activities should be built, intended for rationalizers, labor leaders, activists, scientists and leading representatives of the intelligentsia." In June 1955, at the XXIV Poznań International Fair, a prototype of the Syrena was presented to the public for the first time. Syrena 104 was the last model with doors opening "against the wind", i.e. against the direction of travel.
